Most of us know someone who has received hospice care but, do we really understand what it’s all about? Join us for a conversation about hospice philosophy and services presented by Meryl Johnson, RN CCM, Hospice Liaison for NVNA and Hospice, on Tuesday, April 22nd, at 2:00 P.M. in the CR1. After a brief presentation sorting through the facts and myths of hospice care, we will open the floor for discussion. This is an opportunity to learn the basics about your many choices and to find support, if you are struggling to have a dialogue about end of life issues with your health care providers or loved ones. In addition to discovering the fundamental elements of hospice care, learn the difference between palliative care and hospice care, how hospice is paid, and where hospice services can be provided. The forum will be informal and your questions are encouraged.
