The Corvettes Doo Wop Revue
Tuesday, April 28
Join 1000 Southern Artery on Tuesday, April 28th at Lake Pearl in Wrentham to experience the greatest music ever made—1950’s Doo Wop! The Corvettes give an incredibly entertaining show, and their comical stage antics have left many audiences screaming for more.
Sing along with Corvettes for the cost of $92, which includes transportation, luncheon, tax, gratuity & show ticket. Meal choices include stuffed breast of chicken or baked scrod.
Sail America 400 (Mayflower II & Old Ironsides)
Monday, May 18
Depart from 1000 Southern Artery at 11:00 AM for a full course luncheon at the Venezia Restaurant overlooking Boston Harbor. Later, you’ll board the Provincetown II Cruise Ship for a 90-minute narrated cruise to the Charlestown Navy Yard where you’ll view both the USS Constitution and the Mayflower II for Sail America 400.
The USS Constitution also known as “Old Ironsides” after British cannonballs bounced off her sides during the War of 1812 is still listed as an active war ship on the United States Navy’s register. The Mayflower II is a replica of the actual vessel used by the Pilgrims when they landed in Massachusetts in 1620. Sail America 400 takes place for only a few days – be there!! You’ll return at approximately 5:00 P.M. after a wonderful day at the Sail America 400.
The cost of this great day is $109 per person and includes a meal choice of Haddock or Chicken Parmesan.
TRY SOMETHING NEW … try your luck and enjoy the atmosphere at the new Tiverton Casino (a Twin River property) on Wednesday, May 20th. The motorcoach departs at 9:00 A.M. and costs $29 per person. Depart 1000 Southern Artery at 6:30 P.M. for the Boston Pops and enjoy a dazzling performance by “America’s Orchestra”, and relish the elegance of Symphony Hall. Join the Boston Pops and renowned Keith Lockhart in 2020 for a singularly sensational day of memorable music, so great that it ‘Pops’!
Keith Lockhart, will himself be conducting the 8:00 P.M. show, “Twenty Five Years with Keith”, featuring compositions by Keith Lockhart’s favorite composer, George Gershwin, and performed by two of Keith’s favorite vocalists, Broadway stars Megan Hilty and Jason Danieley.
This is sure to be a memorable musical experience!

Newport Flower Show
Friday, June 19
Depart 1000 Southern Artery to visit the Newport Flower show on Friday, June 19th at 11:00 A.M. This superb seaside flower show, Voices in the Garden, is unlike any other flower and garden show featuring the fabulous Gilded Age setting of Rosecliff, excellent vendors, live music, sweeping views and ocean breezes. Every corner of this is event is delightful to the senses. Return to the Artery at approximately 5:00 P.M.
Tickets will be on sale on Friday, May 8th, at 9:00 A.M. in the North Wing Dining Room. The cost is $40 which includes ticket to the show and transportation. Lunch is on your own at the Flower Show. Don’t miss out!

Depart at 9:00 A.M. from 1000 Southern Artery North Wing on your luxury motor coach. After experiencing Newport’s beautiful Ocean Drive, enjoy The Newport Playhouse and Cabaret Restaurant. Here you’ll enjoy a delicious full course buffet, a wonderful play, and a fun-filled Cabaret performance. This hearty buffet does not skimp on quality or size! After lunch, you’ll be whisked off to their intimate theater where you can sit back, relax, and take-in Newport Playhouse’s show, “On Golden Pond.”
The love story of long married couple Ethel and Norma Thayer, told with plenty of laughs and hard-won wisdom. As Norman nears 80 his memory might be failing, but his sharp-tongued with the torch he carries for his wife Ethel have never dimmed.
After the show, it’s back to your original table where the dining room is transformed into a captivating Cabaret. You’ll arrive home at approximately 6:00 P.M. this evening after a wonderful day in Newport, Rhode Island.
